Why Product Manager?

Could there be a more abstract career? There aren’t many other jobs I can think of that differs so tremendously depending on the company you are working with. Each Product, each idea, solving its own unique problem. And why even do a job or have a career that doesn’t solve a problem? Oh and I really hope you enjoy numbers because if you’re not making data driven decisions, you probably won’t get very far…

As a product manager, you take an idea from concept to creation. Think about some of your favorite products and then try to think about every little detail that went into building that product. Someone had to think out, plan, research, develop, design, and market the product, just to get it in the hands of salespeople. Getting to touch every aspect of that product is why I love product management.
